How to use the app
- First, sign in to your Facebook account.
- Tap on the down arrow icon in the top right of Facebook.
- Select Settings & Privacy, then tap on Settings.
- Select Apps and Websites in the left side menu.
- If Dairy Queen is listed, then you can sign in to the DQ® App by tapping on the blue Continue with Facebook button on the app's Sign In page.

- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap on your name.
- Tap on Password & Security.
- Tap on Apps Using Apple ID.
- If Dairy Queen is listed then you can sign in to the DQ® App by tapping on the black Continue with Apple button on the app's Sign In page.
The birthday associated with your DQ® Rewards account is not able to be edited. If you made an error entering your birthday and would like to have it corrected, please contact us for assistance by going to the My DQ tab in the bottom navigation bar in the DQ® App. Tap on the blue Help & Feedback link near the bottom of the page, tap on Contact Us, and follow the instructions to fill out the Send Us A Message webform.
You can add a new payment method to your account during checkout.
If you wish to change your default payment method, go to My DQ in the bottom navigation bar and tap on Manage My Payments. Locate the payment method and tap on the three (3) dots. Lastly, tap on Select Make Default at the bottom of your screen.
If you wish to delete a payment method, go to My DQ in the bottom navigation bar and tap on Manage My Payments. Locate the payment method and tap on the three (3) dots. Lastly, tap on Remove Payment Method link at the bottom of your screen.
We hate to see you go! If you need to cancel your account, go to My DQ in the main menu, tap on Edit My Profile, and at the bottom of the page tap on the blue Delete My Account link. You will be prompted to confirm you would like to delete your account—tap on Yes, Delete My Account. This will permanently delete your account and any data will be removed in the next seven (7) days.
To change your favourite DQ® location, go to My DQ tab in the bottom navigation bar and tap on Edit My Profile. Your current favourite location will be listed at the top of the page. Tap on the blue Edit link to find and select your preferred location.
You can change the email associated with your DQ® Rewards account by going to the My DQ® tab in the bottom navigation bar in the DQ® App. Tap on Edit My Profile, change the email address in the Email Address field, and tap on the blue Save Profile button at the bottom of the page.
Please note that email addresses cannot be changed for accounts set up with Apple ID or Facebook.
You can change the phone number associated with your DQ® Rewards account by going to the My DQ tab in the bottom navigation bar in the DQ® App. Tap on Edit My Profile, change the phone number in the Phone Number field, and tap on the blue Save Profile button at the bottom of the page.
To reset your password, go to My DQ tab in the bottom navigation bar, tap on Change My Password and follow the instructions to set up a new password. When you’re ready, tap on the blue Save button to save your new password.
Apple Account:
If you are using Sign in with Apple and are seeing an error message of ‘Unable to get email’ or ‘Could not authenticate user’ try clearing your Apple ID settings.
- Go to your iPhone settings
- Select Apple ID accounts
- Select Password & Security
- Select Apps Using Your Apple ID
- Select Dairy Queen
- Select Stop Using Apple ID
- Sign back into the DQ® App
Facebook Account:
If you are using Sign in with Facebook, please log into Facebook. You can also troubleshoot by using the Facebook Help Center
To change your notification settings, go to My DQ in the bottom navigation bar and tap on Edit My Profile. Scroll down to the Notifications section and tap on the checkbox to select or deselect notifications. Then tap on the blue Save Profile button to save your change.
The DQ® App may not work on older version of iOS or Android systems.
While you may not be able to take advantage of the deals through the DQ® App, we are happy to share that you can still access deals online by placing an order through DQ.com! If you do not have a DQ® Rewards account, you will need to create one on DQ.com by clicking on the Sign In link and then clicking on the ‘Create an Account’ link located below the sign in text boxes. Click on the prompts as they appear to complete the sign-up process.
Please note that not all DQ® locations accept online orders. If you would like to see if your local DQ® accepts online orders, click on ‘Start Order’ and then enter your zip or postal code in the ‘Find a DQ® search box. If a DQ® location does not accept online orders you will see an icon that says, ‘Currently Unavailable’ and unfortunately, you will not be able to place an online order using a deal at this location. For those locations that accept online orders, a blue ‘Select’ icon will appear. Click on this icon to start building your order.
Additionally, Dairy Queen® restaurants throughout the United States and Canada are independently owned and operated franchises. As an independent franchisee they may offer their own specials and coupons. You may want to check with your local store for any coupons that they may be offering.
We love celebrating our fans’ birthdays! If you’re a DQ® Rewards member, you can receive a special offer on your birthday by completing at least one order within the 45 days leading up to your birthday while signed into your DQ® Rewards account. Then, on your birthday, you can find your birthday offer on the Deals tab in the DQ® App or on DQ.com. The offer will be valid for 3 days.
Not a DQ® Rewards member yet? You can create an account in the DQ® App or on DQ.com. To receive the birthday offer, you will need to have signed up and completed an order within the 45 days leading up to your birthday while signed into your DQ® Rewards account.
Only active, valid deals will appear in the app. Once you redeem a deal it will automatically be removed from the app. You may need to refresh your app.
To remove a deal from a mobile order:
- Go to the Deals tab in the bottom navigation bar
- Tap on the deal with the green checkmark
- Tap the blue Remove link above the barcode
- You may redeem one (1) deal or reward per order. Deals expire 15 minutes after activation, so it’s recommended you wait to activate your deal until you are at checkout.
- To use a deal when placing an order at a DQ restaurant, go to Deals in the bottom navigation bar, select the deal you would like to use and tap on the blue Redeem In Restaurant button.
- To use a deal when placing an order through the app at participating locations, go to Deals in the bottom navigation bar, select the deal you would like to use, and tap on the blue Use In Mobile Order button.
Deals can be viewed in the DQ® App when you sign into your account. After logging in, go to Deals in the bottom navigation bar. All active deals will be listed. Once you redeem a deal, it will be removed from the list.
You may redeem one (1) deal or reward per order.
Deals change every week for the most part. Keep an eye out for special Seasonal Deals throughout the year. Make sure you are opted in to receiving emails, Push or SMS notifications to ensure you don’t miss out on special offer announcements!
Deals can be used at participating locations
Yes! You can access your five most recent orders for fast and convenient one-click reordering. There are two ways you can access previous orders. From the Order tab in the bottom navigation bar, swipe up on the Recents link. Or, from the My DQ tab in the bottom navigation bar, tap on View My Orders.
Once you submit an order the restaurant immediately begins preparing it for you. Please call the DQ® location where the order was placed to cancel the order. You can find the store’s phone number on their location page in the app or on your order confirmation email.
Yes, you can enter a gift card as a payment method at checkout. Please note that gift card numbers are not saved to your account. If your gift card has no remaining balance, we recommend keeping your gift card until you have received your order.
Depending on the options your favorite DQ® location offers, you may choose to pick up your order inside, curbside, or in the drive thru. You will select your pickup method before you submit your order on the Review Your Order page.
To place an order from the DQ® App, go to the Order tab in the bottom navigation bar. Swipe up on the Menu link to bring up the menu categories. Now you can select and customize menu items. When you’ve completed your selections, tap on the red spoon in the bottom navigation bar to review your order. From here, you can edit your order details and tap on the blue Checkout button to submit your order.
To find a location that accepts mobile orders, go to the Order tab in the bottom navigation bar. Tap on Pickup From at the top of the screen. Tap on the address field below the map to search for an address, City & Province or Postal Code. Select an option from the search results to see a new list of locations where you can view mobile ordering enabled locations in the map or the list below.
We’re here to help! If you have any issues with your order, the fastest way to get assistance is to call the store. You can find the store’s phone number on their location page in the app or on your order confirmation email.
The DQ® App only includes the menu items that all DQ® restaurants are required to carry and does allow some customization on those items.
Points are valid for 365 days after the day they are earned. For example, if 20 points are earned on January 5, those 20 points will expire on January 4 of the following year and be removed from your account at that time. The points earned after that date will not be affected.
Points are used on a first in, first out basis so when you redeem points for rewards, we will apply the oldest points to your reward redemption first.
You can check your points activities on the Reward History page in the DQ® App by going to the Rewards tab in the bottom navigation bar, scrolling to the bottom of the page, and tapping on the blue Rewards History link. Here you can see your point earnings, point expirations, and reward redemptions.
Yes! Follow these steps to manually enter your receipt:
- Look for the scan icon in the upper right corner of the home screen of the DQ® App. Tap on this icon and you’ll be taken to a screen where you’ll see your available DQ® Reward Points.
- At the bottom of this screen, tap on ENTER BARCODE MANUALLY. You’ll be taken to a screen where you’ll be prompted to enter the loyalty summary number.
- Enter your number in the blank entry field provided and wait for the “woohoo” confirmation screen. Note: It may take up to 24 hours for points to be reflected in your DQ® Rewards account.
No! Checking in by scanning your app in a restaurant is the easiest way to earn DQ® Rewards Points. If you weren’t able to check in with your DQ® Rewards account during a recent transaction, the receipt scanning function is your backup option to manually add points to your DQ Rewards account.
Earning points is easy! Every time you place a qualifying order you earn points. Every $1 you spend earns you 10 points. Gift card purchases and discounted purchases are excluded.
You can earn points at participating mobile ordering and rewards locations. To find a participating location in the app, go to Rewards in the bottom navigation bar. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap on the Find Participating Locations link.
If your favourite location doesn’t currently support mobile ordering & rewards, you can still select it as your favourite location and if you are opted into email, Push & or SMS notifications we will let you know when it does.
Points will automatically be earned on an order at a participating location when you:
- Scan the barcode in your app at the register. You can find the barcode by tapping on the SCAN button in the upper right corner of your screen on either the Order tab or the Rewards tab.
- Redeem a deal at the register.
- Place an order through the DQ® App or DQ.ca while signed into your account.
Follow these three steps to scan your receipt:
- Look for the scan icon in the upper right corner of the home screen of the DQ® App. Tap on this icon and you’ll be taken to a screen where you’ll see your available DQ® Rewards Points.
- At the bottom of this screen, tap on SCAN A RECEIPT. You’ll be taken to a page with “Ready to Scan” at the top.
- On this page, tap “SCAN BARCODE.” You’ll be prompted to allow the app to use your camera “while using the app” or “only this time.” Choose the option that is right for you. Once selected, your camera will open. Hover over the “Loyalty Summary” barcode and wait for a “woohoo!” confirmation screen. Note: It may take up to 24 hours for points to be reflected in your DQ® Rewards account.
Once you’ve accrued enough points, you can redeem them for rewards. Go to Rewards in the bottom navigation bar to view your point balance and any available rewards.
Reward Examples:
- 200 Points: Free Small Vanilla or Dipped Cone
- 250 Points: Free Small Shake or Freeze
To use a reward when placing an order through the app, go to Rewards in the bottom navigation bar, select the reward you would like to use and tap on the blue Use In Mobile Order button.
To use a reward when placing an order inside a restaurant, go to Rewards in the bottom navigation bar, select the reward you would like to use and scan the barcode using the scanner at the register.
Alternatively, you can also view your unlocked rewards by tapping on the SCAN button in the upper right corner of your screen on either the Order tab or the Rewards tab. If you have unlocked rewards, there will be a number after the Scan To Redeem link at the top of the page indicating how many unlocked rewards you have available. Tap on Scan To Redeem to view your unlocked rewards.
You have seven days to scan your receipt before the receipt expires.
You may redeem one (1) reward or deal per order.
It can take up to 24 hours for points to be added to your account. If after 24 hours you don’t see your points, try reloading your screen. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, please Contact Us
Yes, you can still earn points on your order by providing the cashier your phone number and email address associated with your DQ® account.
When you sign up through the DQ® App or on DQ.com, you are automatically enrolled as a member of DQ® Rewards. As a member, you earn 10 points for every $1 spent on a qualifying order at a participating DQ® location. Earned points can be redeemed for DQ® food or treats. You can track your points and available rewards by logging into the app and going to the Rewards tab in the bottom navigation bar. You can also quickly reference your available points at the top of the screen on the Order tab.
We know that you expect to earn your DQ® Rewards Points when visiting a participating DQ® Restaurant. The Receipt scanning feature enables you to earn DQ® Points if you forget to check in at the register before placing your order.
First check that the receipt hasn’t expired—remember: you only have 7 days to scan a receipt before it expires. If the receipt is valid and you can’t get it to scan using your phone’s camera, next try manually entering the barcode. If all methods have failed, contact our fan relations team here and select “Points and Rewards” from the dropdown window. From here you’ll be able to upload a picture of your receipt. Our fan relations team will assist with getting you the DQ® Rewards Points you’ve earned.

If your receipt does not have a loyalty barcode printed at the bottom, your purchase is from a store that does not participate in the DQ® Rewards loyalty program.
Receipts from non-participating DQ locations do not have a loyalty barcode printed at the bottom and cannot be scanned or submitted for points.

- Look for the scan icon in the upper right corner of the home screen of the DQ® App. Tap on this icon and you’ll be taken to a screen where you’ll see your available DQ® Rewards Points.
- At the bottom of this screen, tap on SCAN A RECEIPT. You’ll be taken to a page with “Ready to Scan” at the top.
- On this page, tap “SCAN BARCODE.” You’ll be prompted to allow the app to use your camera “while using the app” or “only this time.” Choose the option that is right for you. Once selected, your camera will open. Hover over the “Loyalty Summary” barcode and wait for a “woohoo!” confirmation screen. Note: It may take up to 24 hours for points to be reflected in your DQ® Rewards account.
Once you’ve accrued enough points, you can redeem them for rewards. Go to Rewards in the bottom navigation bar to view your point balance and any available rewards.
Reward Examples:
- 200 Points: Free Small Vanilla or Dipped Cone
- 250 Points: Free Small Shake or Freeze
To use a reward when placing an order through the app, go to Rewards in the bottom navigation bar, select the reward you would like to use and tap on the blue Use In Mobile Order button.
To use a reward when placing an order inside a restaurant, go to Rewards in the bottom navigation bar, select the reward you would like to use and scan the barcode using the scanner at the register.
Alternatively, you can also view your unlocked rewards by tapping on the SCAN button in the upper right corner of your screen on either the Order tab or the Rewards tab. If you have unlocked rewards, there will be a number after the Scan To Redeem link at the top of the page indicating how many unlocked rewards you have available. Tap on Scan To Redeem to view your unlocked rewards.
You have seven days to scan your receipt before the receipt expires.
You may redeem one (1) reward or deal per order.
It can take up to 24 hours for points to be added to your account. If after 24 hours you don’t see your points, try reloading your screen. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, please Contact Us
Yes, you can still earn points on your order by providing the cashier your phone number and email address associated with your DQ® account.
When you sign up through the DQ® App or on DQ.com, you are automatically enrolled as a member of DQ® Rewards. As a member, you earn 10 points for every $1 spent on a qualifying order at a participating DQ® location. Earned points can be redeemed for DQ® food or treats. You can track your points and available rewards by logging into the app and going to the Rewards tab in the bottom navigation bar. You can also quickly reference your available points at the top of the screen on the Order tab.
We know that you expect to earn your DQ® Rewards Points when visiting a participating DQ® Restaurant. The Receipt scanning feature enables you to earn DQ® Points if you forget to check in at the register before placing your order.
First check that the receipt hasn’t expired—remember: you only have 7 days to scan a receipt before it expires. If the receipt is valid and you can’t get it to scan using your phone’s camera, next try manually entering the barcode. If all methods have failed, contact our fan relations team here and select “Points and Rewards” from the dropdown window. From here you’ll be able to upload a picture of your receipt. Our fan relations team will assist with getting you the DQ® Rewards Points you’ve earned.

- Enter your number in the blank entry field provided and wait for the “woohoo” confirmation screen. Note: It may take up to 24 hours for points to be reflected in your DQ® Rewards account.
No! Checking in by scanning your app in a restaurant is the easiest way to earn DQ® Rewards Points. If you weren’t able to check in with your DQ® Rewards account during a recent transaction, the receipt scanning function is your backup option to manually add points to your DQ Rewards account.

If your receipt does not have a loyalty barcode printed at the bottom, your purchase is from a store that does not participate in the DQ® Rewards loyalty program.
Receipts from non-participating DQ locations do not have a loyalty barcode printed at the bottom and cannot be scanned or submitted for points.
